Baba Yaga Puppet Show
This performance is a puppet adaptation of the Slavic folktale of Baba Yaga. A witch seen flying through the sky in a mortar, pestle in hand, who lives in a house perched upon chicken legs. The show was accompanied by a digital brochure containing my research and a brief overview of both Baba Yaga as a character, and the history of Russian Puppetry as a whole. The performance utilized handmade hand puppets and silhouettes. Narrated by Kolya Kishinsky and performed by me.
